Part 1. The IP address of the personal computer has been changed.

After changing the IP address of the personal computer, it is also necessary to change the "save destination of scan data" set for the multifunction device. If you replace the router or automatically distribute the IP address by DHCP, the IP address of your computer may change.

The image below is an example in which the IP address of the personal computer has been changed to "192.168.11.3".
In this case,
it is necessary to reset the save destination of the scan data of the multifunction device to "\\ 192.168.11.3 \ data-scan" .

The IP address is updated by updating the profile.

The message shown on the right will pop up on your desktop.

  • Select Update to update the profile.
  • If you select Do not update, the profile will not be updated.

  • Select Yes to update the profile.
  • If you select No, the profile will not be updated.

The network scanner tool Lite uses port number 4687 to communicate. If Windows Firewall is blocking port number 4687, set it to open.

Part 3. Security software is blocking communication.

Security software may block communication with the network scanner tool Lite. Open the setting screen of the security software and set to allow communication of the network scanner tool Lite.
